Friends of SR Training DONATIONS
On Wednesday January 4th, paddocks, stables, riding arenas and pastures at SR Training near Fort MacLeod were destroyed by raging prairie fire in Southern Alberta. Fifty five horses were saved and owners of the family run business, Gord and Sandy Hester', immediate concern was finding long term accommodation for 55 displaced horses!
Many of the horses are show horses and / or cow horses and require stalls, paddocks and speciatly feed. With limited financial resources and recognizing that insurance will not cover the cost of replacing corrals, fencin
g materials, storage bins, hay and feed and takc the community of Fort MacLeod and beyond have once again risen to the need of the horse and fellow horse enthusiasts. Donations of hay, feed, alters, saddles, blankets, buckets are welcome necessities! Basically if you can imagine it in a barn or stable, it has been lost and is needed.
Country Living takes a profound interest in the horse community in and around us. If you are interested in donating an item, it can be purchases at 'special employee pricing'. The item purchased can be left here and on Friday Jan 20th a trailer will be loaded with all donated itams and delivered to SR Training. If you prefer to make a 'cash' donation we can accept visa, mc and amex over the phone.
